The purpose of The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is to provide opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. The Program is established in recognition of the contributions New Americans have made to American life and in gratitude for the opportunities the United States has afforded the donors and their family.
Must be a college senior or in the first or second year of a graduate program and less than 31 years of age. Any major. New American: If born in the US, both parents must have been born abroad OR one or more parents must have immigrated to the US and become naturalized, OR if born abroad as a non-US citizen, must have a green card or have been naturalized.
An institutional form is required. Please contact the fellowship advisor in the spring semester or EARLY in the fall semester.
The top 77 applicants will be designated finalists and will be asked to appear for interviews in New York City or Los Angeles in late-January of 2013. Reasonable expenses will be covered by the Fellowship Program.
