Bio

Dr. Kristen Hetrick is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and started at NC State in August 2020. After receiving her B.A. at Washington & Jefferson College and her M.A. at the University of Cincinnati, Kristen spent a year as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Jena, Germany. She then earned her Ph.D. in Germanic Languages and Literatures at The Ohio State University. Prior to coming to NC State, Kristen spent nine years as a faculty member at Doane University, where she also advised fellowship applicants.
